Event #3 - The Asbury - May 1, 2025

The third event for the Monarch’s List Social Dinner Club was hit! This time we enjoyed the cozy ambience of The Asbury restaurant, which is adorably nestled in the first floor of the Dunhill Hotel, a boutique hotel in Uptown Charlotte! I had enjoyed the brunch at this lovely compact restaurant a year ago, so I was anxious to try their dinner offerings. They graciously served us a well selected prix fixe menu. For the entrees we chose from chicken, steak, or fish, and we had two appetizer options and two dessert options! I loved the firecracker shrimp and the chocolatey dessert as shown below!

We had a festive evening with lots of new attendees! We all enjoyed getting to know each other. At points, the conversation was rather lively... in a good way of course! Personalities really shined, which is the point of the group… the social part is just as important as the dining part! Two people in particular mentioned their struggles with social anxiety (which I have dealt with as well), so I was glad they overcame their intimidation and came on out and joined with us!
