According to their website, they have “blended BBQ, BEER and BIKES to create a truly unique experience”, but they also assure you that “whether you’re riding a Harley or driving a minivan, you’ll feel right at home.” Never fear that this is some kind of biker haunt in the middle of the backwoods, because it’s not. They are hip enough that their first location was (and is) in the bustling and energetic South End neighborhood. (Although I’m sure South End was very different when this bbq place opened way back in 2005.) They have since expanded to seven other locations in NC and one in SC. You can find any of the barbecued meats here like pulled pork, brisket, ribs, catfish, hickory-smoked wings, burgers, and even burnt ends. And for some reason, they even have chicken & waffles too! They have a very lengthy list of mouth-watering sides to complement your ‘cue if you so desire, and I’m sure you do. If you’re adventurous and free-flowing with the cash, and well, hungry,… be sure to take on the “Fatboy Challenge” for almost $80. It is only a little five-pound sandwich, piled high with… basically everything. If you ever try it, be sure to email me and let me know how it is!
