This restaurant is located in the swanky Phillips Place shopping center in the South Park neighborhood. No offense, but based on this elegant location, I expected something much more corporate, and less authentic. But I was wrong, and I’m glad I was. The food here is truly Southern and it’s truly delicious. Their menu consists of such Southern (mostly coastal) favorites as shrimp & grits, jambalaya, gumbo, fried seafood platters, mac & cheese, collard greens, and fruit cobbler. They also serve a few unique Southern items such as roasted pimento cheese, “Mississippi tamales”, and quail wings! It makes my mouth water just writing this. This place is truly a Southern delight!
