Event #11 -Bulla Gastrobar- August 7, 2025

Bulla Gastrobar… Wow, what a stunner of a restaurant this was! We were overwhelmingly impressed by the ambiance… the service… and the food here was impeccable! I ordered four different items and they were all sheer bliss. Bulla definitely revolutionizes the game when it comes to delectable Spanish tapas. The refined flavors just simply blew our minds.

I thought last week couldn’t be matched, but Bulla is a strong contender for my favorite restaurant that I’ve tried within my Monarchs’ Dinner Social Club.

In their own words, “Bulla’s tapas style dining is a great way to try many different dishes, made with the finest and freshest ingredients”. Some of the items our group tried were the Huevos Bulla, the pan con tomate, the beef & pork cannelloni, the sautéed garlic shrimp, the grilled octopus with corn purée, the chorizo cheese dip, the shrimp truffle carbonara, the lentil soup, the chicken paella, and the grilled octopus salad, as well as desserts – all shown below! Don’t judge me for ordering the Bulla burger as my main entrée, but I like to explore different restaurants’ take on a burger, and the Bulla Burger ranks at the top of my list of Charlotte burgers. It was adorned with a sauce that was pure heaven, and the burger itself was perfectly cooked and it was accompanied with a side of the well-known Spanish/Latin dish of patatas bravas – Life-changing!

And this was the second time I’ve been so intrigued with the menu that I spent $100 for food just for myself… Now it’s two weeks in a row!

And another personal achievement for the group as a whole…. This was by far the best turnout we’ve ever had, and this was the first time there were no no-shows! I guess I’ve successfully whipped this group into shape! …. Just kidding!

We also had several more new members who joined us last night! And I can safely say that we all enjoyed each other’s company…. So much so that we were there for three full hours!

The manager and server were so courteous and accommodating… I had underestimated the number of attendees, and they first upgraded us to a table for ten, and then when more people joined us, they graciously moved us to a table for twelve.

This was perfect on-the-fly, top-notch customer service! And our single server, Andreina, was a perfect delight as well!

Thank you, Bulla! You are simply the best!
