Event #23 (Brunch) - Cajun Queen - January 4, 2026
I proudly hosted my first brunch event for the Monarch’s Table Dinner Club! This brunch event was held at Cajun Queen in the Elizabeth neighborhood. This Charlotte institution is known for its flavorful Cajun cuisine. But people in the know also appreciate their scrumptious Sunday brunch!
Cajun Queen, housed in an old cozy refurbished two-story house, provided us a great experience on this beautiful clear-skied early afternoon. And the food was quite tasty. The restaurant kindly offered to merge my two reservations into one and we were seated a very large table, where the conversation flowed as freely as the cocktails. We enjoyed each other’s company, and got to know the new attendees.
The service was smooth and quick. Most of us enjoyed omelettes or benedicts, but one person ordered a hearty dish of chicken/shrimp/crawfish etouffée! And for those of us with a sweet tooth, one person ordered a few platters of sugar-sprinkled beignets.
